Have been using these tyres since purchase of bike
Vulcan voyager 1700 - at the time only Avon & Bridgestone manufactured this size tyre for Australian use - although in America they had kenda or similar
kms -Normally i get between:
Rear tyre - 13000km - 15000km
Front tyre - 16000km - 18000km
Road quality determines everything as well as riding style.
Been through some major flooded roads as well as prolonged drought area's - the wetter road rides better - no doubt the tyre ingenuity is about wet handling, never had any sliding or slip, very confident on these tyres,They are quiet & comfortable too.
Have been looking at alternatives but the dilemma is
cheapest is dearest & the harder tyres now available such as the Metzlers do not give as good wet performance ( experience on another bike) - will probably stick with these tyres i know, also i believe that Bridgstone actually made this tyre for this bike in mind which if the case would make this the perfect tyre, as for price - who makes cheap pats for any bike or car when we all readily pay dear?
So that's my review - would be interested to read someone elses review on the equivalent size etc for MZ888 Ultra Shinko SR777
